Prime Minister Robert Abela has warned Labour supporters in Gozo against allowing the Opposition Nationalist Party to claim political victory on the island.
Speaking at a Labour activity in Rabat, Gozo, Abela said the PN was already saying it had “won Gozo” and “painted Gozo blue.”
The Prime Minister also referred to past political tensions involving former Labour leader Dom Mintoff, saying those “darker days” were over.
Abela reiterated that Gozo remains a priority for the Labour government and said the island has prospered under a Labour administration.
