At the Girgenti Palace, during a meeting with Rennie, Angele, little Amy and her mother Valentina, the wife of the Prime Minister Dr Lydia Abela together with her daughter Giorgia Mae presented a donation of €20,000 to Puttinu Cares – funds raised from the Enchanted Easter activity as well as from the sale of Giorgia Mae’s Giolli figolli.
The Enchanted Easter initiative, along with the figolli sale, have become an annual event that is highly anticipated by many.
Year after year, Enchanted Easter brings together families, children and volunteers in a spirit of solidarity and generosity, to create an event that brings joy to those who participate and, at the same time, translates into aid for an organization that does so much good for so many families.
On this occasion, Dr Lydia Abela said “This donation is the fruit of the great hearts of so many people who participated in this initiative and who gave their contribution so that together we can make a difference in the lives of families who need our support.” She added that the people’s support in this activity is a clear sign of how strong solidarity is still a value among the Maltese and Gozitans.
The Prime Minister’s wife thanked everyone who contributed to making Enchanted Easter a reality, as well as Rennie and Angele for their tireless work, dedication, love and the sense of hope they continually instill in patients and their families.
Rennie and Angele, on behalf of Puttinu Cares, expressed their gratitude and stressed that thanks to the continuous support they receive, Puttinu Cares will continue to be of support to the families and patients who rely on Puttinu’s help in difficult times.
