Bernard Grech says PM and Ministers must take responsibility for Sofia death

Speaking in Parliament, Opposition Leader Bernard Grech said that after the report of the inquiry into the death of Jean Paul Sofia at a construction site in Kordin, Prime Minister Robert Abela and Ministers Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, Miriam Dalli and Silvio Schembri must take responsibility.

Parliament was discussing the inquiry report into the death of Jean Paul Sofia in Kordin after earlier in the morning the Board of Inquiry presented the report to the Prime Minister.

He said the result of the inquiry showed why it was necessary to have a Public Inquiry, something the government did not want.

Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, Prime Minister Robert Abela said he wanted the resignations of a number of leading figures highlighted in the report. As yet it has not been confirmed if those resignations did take place.
