Trump barred from running for president, Colorado Supreme Court rules

Trump in 2024 election mode

Donald Trump has been barred from running for president of the United States by the Colorado Supreme Court, which ruled the former president ineligible to stand as a candidate under the 14th Amendment of the country’s Constitution.

Trump is accused of inciting riots at the United States Capitol Building in an effort to overturn the result after he lost the US election in 2020.

The Trump campaign has already said it will appeal the “completely flawed” decision.
