Malta Public Transport is announcing increased frequencies on several Night Routes as
from 21 st May 2023 to provide a more convenient and efficient travel solution for
passengers.
For those traveling between Valletta and St Julian’s during the night, the frequency on the
N13 Night Route has been significantly improved, with departures from either Valletta or St
Julian’s happening every 10 minutes between 23:10hrs and 00:10hrs.
The service will then continue to operate at a frequency of every 20 minutes till 01:30hrs during weekdays, while on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the service will be extended to 02:10hrs.
Passengers commuting at night time between Sliema Ferries and Bugibba will be pleased
to know that the N212 Night Route will now operate daily instead of just on Fridays and
Saturdays. Buses will run every 30 minutes, with the departure from Bugibba towards
Sliema Ferries commencing at 23:50hrs and continuing until 01:20hrs, while the departure
from Sliema Ferries towards Bugibba will start at 23:10hrs, with the last departure at
00:40hrs.
For those traveling between St Julian’s and Cirkewwa during the night, the N11 Night
Route will now operate every 30 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays. Departures from
Cirkewwa towards St Julian’s will begin at 23:05hrs, with the last departure at 02:05hrs.
Departures from St Julian’s towards Cirkewwa will start at 00:55hrs, with the last departure
at 03:05hrs.

Malta Public Transport would like to remind the public that Night Routes, similar to Day
and Special Services are included in the Free Public Transport scheme. In order to benefit
from free public transport, passengers are required to own a valid personalised Tallinja Card and tap it against the ticket machine every time they board the bus. Passengers
without Tallinja Cards will need to purchase their ticket on board the bus.
