The prospectus of the Institute for Education has been launched with courses for both educators and parents

The Prospectus for the Institute for Education for the academic year 2023-2024 has been launched, with 40 qualification courses, 47 accredited short courses, 34 non-accredited sessions aimed at parents/guardians of children and 49 non-accredited sessions for -educators to further strengthen their skills.

This prospectus includes 4 new qualification courses, Bachelor of Education (Hons) Media Literacy; Master of Education Teaching Students with Disabilities; Master of Education (Top-Up) and Master in Applied Educational Leadership (Top-Up).

“Every academic year, the Institute for Education is increasing the opportunities for educators to continue training in their profession. This institute is doing great good to the rising generations, because it is giving great opportunities to the educators of our children, as we can see in this prospectus, with courses for both educators and parents. To have a constantly updated educational system we must continue to invest in the skills of the human resource in this sector, so our educators,” said the Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima while launching the prospectus.

The prospectus contains a vast range of courses in the educational sphere with the aim of providing educators with effective strategies to be able to address today’s educational needs while the courses also look at the development of the educator for a unique and holistic professional.

Minister Grima praised the dedicated and committed work of the institute and said that this institute is increasing wealth among educators, those who want to advance in their career, those who are aspiring to be educators and also the parents of our children. He emphasized that the best resource that our country has is the human one and therefore the collective work that is done to give all possible opportunities to educators in academic training, and also in vocational and educational training. With the Institute for Education there is also a collaboration of other entities so that through them what the prospect offers are really high quality opportunities for educators and therefore fosters learning communities of the highest level while instilling education with equity and social justice.

The CEO of the Institute for Education Joanne Grima took a look at the courses offered in this prospectus and said that this is the result of collective work of the institute, which every year looks at more collaborations and new courses to increasing the opportunities for those who want a career in this sector.

Currently in the Institute for Education there are around 400 people who are training to obtain a qualification and 57 participants in short and accredited courses. During this academic year, more than 135 parents came to train in various subjects and to be better prepared to help their children, while another 173 educators chose non-accredited training sessions.
