Suicide bomber kills 46 in Pakistan mosque attack

A Taliban suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque packed with worshippers during afternoon prayers on Monday in Pakistan’s northwestern Peshawar city, killing at least 46 people and wounding more than 100 others, mostly policemen, security and health officials said.

The Pakistani Taliban is usually suspected of such attacks in the country, after claiming similar bombings in the past although no-one has as yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
