Three women were killed when a man opened fire at a cafe in Rome on Sunday, injuring four other people.
Those inside were meeting as part of a local block’s residents’ committee.
One of those who died was a friend of Italy’s prime minister Giorgia Meloni.
A 57-year-old man has been detained by police.
