Ta’ Betta Wine Estates features in Strive for Perfection celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Ta’ Betta Wine Estates has been interviewed by the Royal Correspondent Robert Jobson and has been invited by St. James’s House to feature in the prestigious Platinum Jubilee Edition of the RREC 2022 publication Strive for Perfection celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee.

The launch of the publication took place on the 7th of October at Grosvenor House, in Mayfair, London where Ta’ Betta showcased its wines amongst other world-class luxury brands. The launch was followed by the London Press Club Ball. “This was a great opportunity to promote Malta amongst a global audience of very discerning people. We are delighted that Ta’ Betta has been recognised as a quality brand and that our story is attracting interest in very exclusive circles internationally,” said Astrid Camilleri.

The Ta’ Betta story now spans over two decades driven by a passion for fine wines and a desire to raise the profile of Maltese wines internationally. Owned by Astrid and Juanito Camilleri, the 4-hectre estate situated in Girgenti, limits of Siggiewi, has a state-of-the-art boutique winery with a production capacity of circa 25,000 bottles of D.O.K. Superior wines. Ta’ Betta wines are named after three prominent grandmasters whose character the wines personify: Jean Parisot is a tenacious oak-fermented Chardonnay; Antonio Manoel is an opulent Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon blend; while the robust Philippe Villiers is a Syrah-Cabernet Franc blend.

The estate’s flirtatious Syrah Rosé, Isabella Guasconi, is named after the lovechild of Grand Master de Valette. “Our wines have had some excellent reviews in international connoisseur circuits, and despite the significant challenges to project a brand internationally, we are delighted we are already exporting to London, Zurich and Berlin. Although our production volumes are limited, we aim to reach out further to put Malta on the map of discerning wine lovers.”, said Juanito.
