Kwasi Kwarteng has been sacked as Chancellor.
In a letter published on Sky News, he wrote that Prime Minister Liz Truss had asked him to resign and he accepted to do so.
This latest bombshell for the Conservative government comes in the wake of enormous tourmoil as markets tumbled following the Chancellor’s mini-budget, annouced only weeks ago.
