Ursula von der Leyen in Belfast on 25th anniversary of Good Friday Agreement

The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has joined world leaders in Belfast to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement.

England’s PM Rishi Sunak, Ireland Prime Minister Leo Varadkur and former US President Bill Clinton praised the courage and conviction of everyone involved in the 1998 agreement.

Ursula von der Leyen praised the people of Northern Ireland for being forward-looking in creating a better future for themselves.
