A 50-year-old Syrian man, who lives in Malta, appeared in court on Monday evening, charged with offences related to human trafficking.
This is the result of police investigations following a search in the Delimara area for illegal immigrants.
Police said they do not rule out more people being arrested on human trafficking charges.
