Wildfires are raging across Europe causing many thousands to be evacuated from their homes.
A firefighter pilot died when his place crashed in Portugal where more than 1,000 firefighters battle fires fanned by weeks of drought and extreme tempertures.
In Spain, firefighters are struggling to control the fires as more than 3,000 people have been evacuated.
Fires continue to rage in France, Croatia, Greece and Hungary.
