Hondoq by Night returns 

The tenth edition of Hondoq by Night Festival will be held on Saturday 8 July 2022, one of the largest activities taking place in Gozo. This was announced by the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri during a press conference.

Minister Camilleri said that during this summer, all those who visit Gozo will find many activities waiting for them, including this festival on the beach of Hondoq ir-Rummien. He went on to explain that, “the Ministry for Gozo will be at the forefront of helping financially to set up such activities, which attract so many visitors to Gozo while generating domestic tourism. We are committed to continuing to invest in these events and strengthen them so that Gozo is the destination of choice for everyone throughout the year and not just in the summer. ”

The Minister reiterated that this festival takes place against a background of a clear and strong message in favor of the environment, where during the activity single-use plastic is not used so that this site is not contaminated by this material. so dangerous to our seas. Minister Camilleri called on all those who enjoy our beaches to do so with full respect for the surrounding environment and for the same people who visit the site and this by not disposing of waste, especially plastic and scraps. cigarettes. He thanked the Public Service workers who work to keep our beaches clean.

The Mayor of Qala, Paul Buttigieg, invited the public to attend this event and enjoy this beach in a wonderful natural environment.

Noel Mizzi, one of the organizers of this festival, said that the line up of the Hondoq by Night Festival will include some of the best local artists, among them, Cash & Band, Carlo Gerada, Ryan Spiteri, Micimago and DJ Darco.

This festival is being organized with the support of the Ministry for Gozo, the Ministry for Tourism, the Qala Local Council and the ‘Saving our Blue’ campaign.
