Russian forces seize control of city in eastern Ukraine, regional governor says

Kremlin troops have taken control of Ukraine’s eastern city of Kreminna, the regional governor said today.

Russia appears to have changed tactics, switching from attacking Kyiv in the west of Ukraine, to launching a major offensive to the east of the country.

Kreminna, a city of more than 18,000 people, appears to be the first city captured in the new Russian offensive in eastern Ukraine.
