Another block will be completed at Żejtun Secondary School for a total investment of €5 million

Block 4 of Żejtun Secondary School has been officially inaugurated, part of a project that is being carried out with an investment of € 5 million.

Żejtun Secondary School was extended by building a floor on each existing block of the school. Through this extension, spread over more than 2,500 square meters, 13 normal classrooms have been added, as well as 8 laboratories for science teaching, 2 classes for home economics, and classes for engineering and design. . Laboratories and workshops have also been developed for vocational topics including information technology, hospitality, hairdressing, media, and textiles and fashion.

“This is not just an investment in school infrastructure, ie an extension and modernization of the school, but it is a concept that addresses the needs of today, and even more so, of tomorrow. We are doing this so that our students not only have adequate infrastructure, but infrastructure that addresses the academic and pedagogical changes as they are developing according to the curriculum “, said the Minister of Education Justyne Caruana while she was inaugurating Block 4.

Minister Caruana went on to say that by learning vocational subjects, students will be better prepared for the world of work.
