Lava flowing from an erupting volcano in the Canary Island is now estimated to be within 800m of the ocean.
Scientists say that if that happens it could release toxic vapour, hydrochloric acid, that is dangerous to breathe and irritates skin and eyes.
The volcano erupted on September 19 and has already destroyed hundreds of homes. Thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes.
