An investment of € 292,000 in the Home for the Elderly in Cospicua

During a visit to the Home for the Elderly in Cospicua, the Minister for the Elderly and Active Aging Michael Farrugia announced an investment of € 292,000 in the installation of a new chillers system. He announced this after an assessment process was launched in recent weeks by the Directorate for Active Aging and Community Care during which infrastructural or other needs related to the provision of the service were identified in all government nursing homes.

Minister Michael Farrugia said that “during this year, despite the high costs that the Directorate is having due to the pandemic, it has continued to work on continuous investments to further improve the quality of the service provided in care. long-term care in nursing homes ”.

The investment made in the Home for the Elderly in Cospicua consists of four new chillers as well as a system of pumps and pipes that connect all the chillers together, as the system was an old one and suffered considerable damage. For many years they were being repaired temporarily but stopped again after a while, to the great inconvenience of the residents and employees of this house.
