Man charged with selling fake passports

A 32-year-old man was arrested for allegedly selling fake passports and fake residence permits, in order to assist other people get into or out of Malta.
The man was arrested on Tuesday in a raid carried out by the Immigration Police at his residence in Marsascala. There Police found several false documents, as well as original documents, but which turned out to have been stolen, all in the possession of the man.
He was charged in court this morning, and pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him and is being kept at the Corradino Correctional Facility.
