Valleys master plan launched with a € 17 million project

A master plan aimed at increasing the scientific knowledge of the valleys in Malta and Gozo has been launched with an investment of € 17 million, of which 60% comes from European funds and 40% from Maltese funds .

The launch of the project, which is a joint one between the Ministry of Energy and Management of Water, the Ministry of Tourism and Consumer Protection and the Parliamentary Secretariat for European Funds, was announced at a news conference at Howard Garden, Victoria.

The Minister for Tourism and Consumer Protection Julia Farrugia Portelli said that the master plan

thinks of formulating a strategic plan to better manage the valleys.

The Minister for Energy and Water Management Michael Farrugia said that this project, which is funded by the LIFE Program of the European Union, is a strategic project in the field of management.
