Chelsea thumped Everton for five to go top of the English Premiership displacing Manchester City who were held to a 1-1 draw by Middlesbrough.

Arsenal can move to the top if they beat London neighbours Tottenham Hotspurs in a lunch-time kick-off at the Emirates Stadium.

Liverpool are also challenging for the lead, they are currently tied in third place with Arsenal and a win this afternoon against Watford would lift them to the top of the Premiership.

Manchester United broke transfer records with their summer signings yet the mighty Old Trafford side is languishing down in 8th place. Utd and Jose Mourinho need a win at Swansea today.
