Prime Minister Robert Abela visits MedservRegis – a Maltese company that continues to expand and strengthen its presence internationally

Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, visited MedservRegis plc. This Malta-based company provides integrated logistics and support services to the energy, oil and gas, and mining industries.

During the visit, the Prime Minister met with the company’s employees and was briefed on the extensive operations of this company, which has continued to strengthen its presence in various regions, including Africa, the Mediterranean and the Middle East. The company offers a range of services that include the storage, inspection, maintenance, procurement and transportation of equipment used in energy exploration and production.

The Prime Minister also visited the company’s mud plant, a facility built and operated in-house that produces essential materials for oil and gas drilling. This was described as one of the company’s key assets. At the same time, the company’s commitment to sustainability was also highlighted, including through its investment in one of the first solar farms to be built in Malta’s industrial areas.

Prime Minister Robert Abela praised the work of MedservRegis and stated that companies such as these demonstrate how Malta can build a modern economy based on specialized services, technical expertise and sustainable investment.

The progress of Maltese companies such as MedservRegis plc confirms that our country has the capacity not only to attract investment, but also to support established companies to be protagonists in international sectors of strategic importance.

The visit ended with a meeting with the company’s management, during which MedservRegis plc’s priorities for the future were discussed in more detail.
