KM Malta Airlines has announced the launch of a new direct service between Malta and
Málaga, further strengthening the airline’s Summer 2026 schedule with the addition of
another popular Mediterranean destination.
The new route will operate twice weekly on Wednesday and Sundays, providing customers
with direct travel options between Malta International Airport (MLA) and Málaga-Costa del
Sol Airport (AGP). Flights are scheduled to begin operation from Wednesday 27th May 2026.
Málaga, located on Spain’s celebrated Costa del Sol, combines beachside relaxation with
rich Andalusian culture. Travellers can explore the city’s historic centre, visit the Picasso
Museum, discover landmarks such as the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle, or enjoy the city’s
lively food scene with fresh seafood, tapas, and local wines. Málaga also serves as an
excellent gateway to some of southern Spain’s most popular destinations, including
Marbella, Nerja, Ronda, and the whitewashed villages of inland Andalusia.
