Over the past two days, police have arrested two men who are linked to an international drug trafficking ring.
The first man was stopped on arrival from Brussels with around 1KG of suspected cocaine, valued at over €130,000, hidden in his clothing.
Investigations and surveillance led the officers to the arrest of the second man, who is believed to be the main local supplier. Searches at his residence in Msida uncovered over €45,000 in cash, a Maserati, and various luxury items.
A Magisterial Inquiry has been appointed and the men will appear in court shortly.
