Lord Peter Mandelson is to step down from the House of Lords.
This was announced by the Lord Speaker after the Cabinet Office referred material to police after reviewing Epstein file documents that suggest alleged leaks of sensitive information by Lord Mandelson.
Mandelson is alleged to have passed internal government information to Epstein when he was business secretary in 2009.
He will however retain the title Lord Mandelson.
