The Building and Construction Authority held its annual awards night on Friday.

A total of five awards were given with the winners being Mark Vassallo, Head of the IT department for innovation, Fleur Marmara Head of the Human Resources section for her big heart when it comes to workers, Brian Loffreda Head of the permits section for the seriousness he shows in his work, Andrew Olivia an officer in the IT department for the promise he is showing within the authority, and the award for the best team was given to the IT department for the way it is leading the digitization of the Authority’s processes.

Although these were specific awards, the activity recognized the entire BCA Team for their commitment on a collective level.

During the evening, the Minister for Justice and Construction Sector Reform Jonathan Attard reiterated that the BCA is continuing to strengthen not only in its size and resources, but also in its mission and vision to be a serious, credible authority that serves the needs of the citizen. Minister Attard thanked all those who were recognised for their work, as well as all the Authority’s employees for their commitment to improving the quality of public service. He stressed that the success of the BCA is the result of courageous decisions, continuous investment and collective commitment.
