Branko Nisevic will start a second spell as coach of Hibernians after the Paolites announced him as their new coach. He replaces Silvio Vella who took over mid-way through last season.
Nisevic, who had started his coaching career as part of the Malta FA technical staff, spent three years as coach of Hibernians between 2013 and 2016, winning the championship in 2014/15 and the Super Cup in 2015/16. The following season, he joined Gzira United but his stay was short-lived. In 2018, he joined the Malta national team as assistant coach to Ray Farrugia.
Nisevic later served as sporting director at Sliema Wanderers but-mid-way through season 2020/21, he was appointed as coach of Nadur Youngsters. He spent one year at the club before joining Hamrun Spartans in February 2022. With the Spartans, he won the championship apart from leading the team to a historic place in the play-off round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The Paolites have so far signed goalkeeper Jonathan Debono, Samuel Okoh, Claudio Bonanni, Armen Hovhannisyan and Giannis Bastianos.
