Opposition Leader Bernard Grech has hit out at Finance Minister Clyde Caruana's policy on foreign workers saying that the minister had u-turned on his policy on foreign workers.
Speaking at a Nationalist Party activity in Valletta Bernard Grech claimed that the influx of foreign workers had led to lower wages for Maltese workers.
Speaking at a party activity in Sliema Prime Minister Robert Abela said that Malta needs to work as one team to combat illegal immigration.
He called on the Opposition Nationalist Party to join with him in the national stance against immigration.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a collision with a vehicle on the Coast Road this morning.
The injured biker, a 42-year-old Italian living in St Paul's Bay, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital.
The accident happened at around 5.40am.
