A 16-year old girl has been arrested along with a 20-year-old woman as they allegedly tried to travel to Syria. A Scotland Yard spokesman said both were arrested "on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts, namely traveling to Syria to join a proscribed organisation".

Two people were arrested on Sunday in a joint operation between the Rapid Intervention Unit and the Drug Squad. The two men, a Libyan national and a Somali national,were found in possession of what was  thought to be cannabis resin, sachets of cannabis plants and cocaine.
