A 29-year-old Syrian ma, who lives in Zebbug, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital after allegedly being attacked in Mosta. The attack happened in Triq il-Kappar at around 10pm Tuesday. His injuries were described as serious. Police are searching for the other man involved in the attack.
Bars and clubs will remain closed in February, Prime Minister Robert Abela announced. He said that further restrictions would be announced in the coming days especially with the carnival period in mind. Two priests have been arrested and charged with the alleged sexual abuse of a minor. The arrests were made following investigations by the Police Anti-Addiction Squad. The alleged offences took place several years ago when the alleged victim was an alter boy.
