A Transport Malta official is in critical condition after being involved in a serious motorcycle accident in the early hours of Friday morning.
The accident occurred at around 2:00am on Triq iż-Żejfa in Mosta. The victim, 46-year-old Godfrey Camilleri from Rabat, was riding his motorcycle when the incident took place.
Transport Malta has confirmed Camilleri’s identity and stated that he was on duty assisting with the annual Puttinu Cares charity walk at the time of the accident.
Emergency services were quickly on site, and Camilleri was taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified to be in critical condition.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway.
