The Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri launched the Easter program in Gozo, aimed at the whole family. The activities related to Lent, Good Friday and Easter in Gozo will start on March 1st and continue until March 31st 2024.
Minister Clint Camilleri expressed his satisfaction that for another year the days related to the Easter festivities will be full of events that will attract both the local people and all those who choose to visit the island of Gozitan. in these days and thus make the Easter experience an authentic one.
“Our aim is not only to attract tourism during these days but also to keep alive and strengthen our traditions and values that have been inherited over time and those who visit us have the opportunity to experience them. I thank the workers within the Ministry who are working tirelessly to once again prepare a program of appropriate celebrations on these sacred days,” repeated Minister Camilleri.
The program of activities ‘Easter in Gozo’ prepared by the Directorate for Cultural Heritage within the Ministry for Gozo and Planning includes various functions, Good Friday processions, a number of concerts of ‘ sacred music, numerous exhibitions of visual art, the Easter celebrations with the Statue of the Resurrection, as well as activities for children, among others.
Minister Clint Camilleri concluded by saying that Gozo has a lot to offer apart from its natural beauty and that is why the Gozitan island is the natural choice for every season.
