ITS with a new satellite campus in Shanghai, China

An agreement was signed between the Institute for Tourism Studies (ITS) and the Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Polytechnic through which courses that are offered in Malta in ITS  will begin to be taught in China.
Through this agreement, ITS will be expanding its educational teaching abroad. A decision that follows the strategy of the Institute for Tourism Studies 2021-2025, with an emphasis on the internationalization of this same Institute. In Shanghai, students will have the option to enroll in a three-year program focusing on a Higher National Diploma in Events as well as Cultural Arts. If they pass this course, the students will have the opportunity to advance their studies to the Bachelor’s Degree level at the ITS campus in Malta.
These details were announced by the Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo during an occasion that marked the signing of this agreement, in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Malta YU Dunhai and the President of the Shanghai Industrial and Commercial school Zhang Yang.
“Despite our small size, Malta is not only achieving positive results when it comes to tourism but we are exporting our education to countries much bigger than it. Our commitment remains to strengthen tourism education to make sure that we really get to the service of excellence that we so much want in the tourism sector,” concluded Minister Bartolo.
