The main talking points:
Pensions to rise by €15 per week.
Cost of Living Allowance, (COLA), increase by €15 per week.
Children’s allowance to increase by €250.
Minimum wage will increase from the current €192.73 to €213.54 per week, starting on January 1, 2024.
Carers benefits to increase. Parents who leave work to look after their child with a disability will receive an additional €487 a year.
Additional €10,000 for first-time buyers’ grant but only in Gozo.
Tax refund cheques back for next year, ranging from €60 to €140 depending on your income.
