Prime Minister Robert Abela inaugurates a dental clinic in Gozo, which offers teaching to university students and service to the community

The Prime Minister Robert Abela inaugurated a dental clinic in Għajnsielem, Gozo, which with top level equipment is improving the educational experience for the students of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Malta while the community is enjoying a top level service with a number of services provided free of charge.
The Prime Minister pointed out how this project reflects the principles that are guiding the Government, in every decision it takes. This is because, with a strong economy, we are carrying out top-level projects like these, which are an investment in the educational experience of our university students, which we are then translating that experience into our communities.
Gozo today is an island of opportunities that with the vision we are implementing for the good of the community will continue to offer quality education and a quality career for Gozo. With this investment, which exceeds €2 million, it is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, eleven dental chairs and from which the university students are offering an extensive range of services to everyone, from children of school to seniors. With this educational experience, guided by the academics of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Malta, they are attending this clinic during their academic year and offer these clinical services to the entire public, from -Monday to Friday.

During this visit, accompanied by the Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri and the Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima, the Prime Minister referred to the benefits and opportunities that the government will continue to create with such collaborations, with educational entities, Also present for the visit was the Rector of the University of Malta Prof. Alfred J. Vella and the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Nikolai J. Attard and the Bishop of Gozo Anton Teuma.
