Two Swedish nationals were shot dead in Brussels before Belgium’s Euro 24 qualifier against Sweden on Monday night.
The game was suspended at half-time for security reasons with Swedish supporters put up in hotels under police protection with the city placed on its highest security level.
A massive police hunt for the gunman was launched and police said that the suspect was shot dead at a cafe in the city on Tuesday morning.
