A government that stands behind common good initiatives – Prime Minister Robert Abela visits a company that embraces sustainability

 “While we offer certainty and stability through the help we are giving in energy, we will be a shoulder for every project that embraces sustainability.” This was the message delivered by Prime Minister Robert Abela when he visited the company Angelo Aquilina Refrigeration Supplies Ltd.
During the visit to the mark the establishment of the company which employs thirty people and which in recent years has made an investment of €6 million, including the training of the workers, Prime Minister Robert Abela also noted how the company has products that protect the environment and are used in various fields including manufacturing, hospitality, pharmaceuticals and shop.
“We see the environmental changes as fundamental forces that affect every area. Our country will be behind every investor who invests in the priorities that our country has. What is of common good you will find a Government behind you”, pointed out the Prime Minister, who during the visit was accompanied by the Minister for the Economy, European Funds and Lands Silvio Schembri.

Prime Minister Abela also noted the training in favor of improving the skills of the workers where he stressed that together with the company’s climate targets, these are in line with the strategic direction that the Government is giving. With the administration of the company run by the Aquilina family, Prime Minister Robert Abela stressed how in renewables our country has room to do and grow more and noted the company’s contribution in this regard so much so that two years ago it received national award for sustainability.
The company’s workers vary from technical people to others linked to the placement of the equipment sold. The company has continued to grow in recent years and is exploring opportunities in international markets. It currently serves clients consisting of small as well as large holdings.
