A fireman died while putting out a grass fire in Pembroke on Sunday evening.
Police said the Civil Protection crew were called to the fire at 6pm.
Shortly after the fire was extinguished, the firefighter developed medical problems and lost consciousness. He was given first aid by his colleagues until a medical team arrived. He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital but died shortly afterwards.
