Tomorrow the curtain rises on the first TECHXPO

 The Minister for the Economy, European Funds and Lands, Silvio Schembri, today visited the final preparations for TECHXPO which will take place between tomorrow and September 21, at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali.

Tomorrow and Wednesday, TechXpo will be welcoming people who have already registered in advance, while Thursday, September 21, a public holiday, TECHXPO will be open for free to the general public. This TECHXPO is bringing together under one roof companies in our country that work with AI and other innovative technologies. 

Minister Silvio Schembri said that this expo is a unique opportunity that Maltese entrepreneurs should not miss. “Here they will get a real idea and see in practice what is on the market when it comes to AI and other technologies and even see how these technologies can be used for their business. I encourage families to visit the TECHXPO to see what our country is offering, while giving an idea to our children and young people of the opportunities our country is offering and where the country’s economy is going”, said Minister Schembri.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday inside the TECHXPO itself a MED9 meeting will be held, where our country will welcome the ministers responsible for the digital economy, or their representatives from Malta, Italy, France, Spain, the Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia and Croatia where among others they will be discussing how we can cooperate together to take the advantages and opportunities that AI offers for the good of our societies and in the at the same time we welcome the challenges and risks that these technologies can present.
