Due to a fire at Catania Airport on the evening of Sunday 16th July 2023, the
airport has been closed for all flight operations.

Catania Airport has advised they expect the airport to re-open for operations
effective 14:00 on Wednesday 19th July.
This has resulted in the cancellation of KM643/16July;
KM640/641/642/643/644/645 on both 17th and 18th July; and the
KM640/641 on 19th July.

Customers who are booked to travel on any of the above flights may cancel
and receive a full refund of their ticket or re-book to an alternative date or
travel to/from Palermo Airport instead. Meantime, Air Malta are
investigating the opportunity to operate potential additional services
to/from Palermo.

Air Malta will continue to update its website with further information as and
when received from Catania Airport.
