A 28-year-old man from Libya was seriously injured following an argument in Gzira in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police said the the injured man had been involved in an argument with a Maltese man and as the situation escalated, he was hit by a bottle. As he tried to get away from the scene, the Maltese man chased him in his car which then hit the Libyan man. The car driver then left the scene but was apprehended shortly afterwards by police.
The incident happened in Triq ix-Xatt, il-Gzira at 3.15am.
