The driver and three passengers were injured when the van they were traveling in crashed into the wall at the St Julian’s tunnel on Tuesday afternoon, police reported.
Civil Protection units were called to the scene to rescue the passengers and driver from the mangled van.
The accident happened at around 4pm.
The injured were taken to Mater Dei Hospital where two passengers were certified as having serious injuries. The condition of the third passenger is not known while the driver escaped with only light injuries.
