Earlier on Friday evening, the Malta Rescue Coordination Centre was alerted by the Civil Protection Department through the Emergency Number 112, that a vehicle had fallen into the sea at the Mgarr Passenger Terminal, in Gozo.
The Armed Forces of Malta immediately dispatched a team to the scene and confirmed that the person in the car was safe. The Armed Forces of Malta will carry out a further underwater search and remove any objects which might be a hazard to navigation.
