Air Malta flight suffers bird strike on approach to Rome airport

Air Malta flight KM612 operating from Malta to Rome, encountered a bird strike during its final descent into Rome airport.

The aircraft is subsequently undergoing precautionary technical and safety
checks before the return flight KM613 from Rome to Malta which was scheduled to depart at 10.10hrs but that departure time is expected to be delayed.

Air Malta said the airline is doing its utmost to operate the flight as soon as
possible.
