A body was found on rocks in Paradise Bay near Cirkewwa on Tuesday morning, police said.
Members of the Civil Protection Department helped in recovering the badly decomposed body.
An autopsy will be held to determine the cause of death.
Police investigations to discover the identity of the dead man, who was wearing red shorts, are ongoing.
