Malta has made two voluntary contributions amounting to a total of €50,000 to the Council of Europe.

Malta has made two voluntary contributions amounting to a total of €50,000 to the Council of Europe.
€30,000 to support the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe in promoting Euro-Africa cooperation to enhance youth participation for peace, and €20,000 to support the European Court of Human Rights towards reducing its backlog of well-founded cases.
The agreements were signed 12 December 2022, by the Permanent Representative of Malta, Ambassador Lorenzo Vella, and the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Bjørn Berge.
