Missile that killed two in Poland may have been fired by Ukraine

Initial findings suggest the missile that hit Poland was fired by Ukrainian forces at an incoming Russian missile, according to US officials.

President Biden has urged caution saying it is unlikely the missile was fired from Russia. He called an emergency meeting of world leaders on the explosion and loss of live in Poland.

Poland has called for an emergency meeting of NATO members and will likely activate NATO’s Article 4 on Wednesday at the meeting in Brussels

Polish President Andrzej Duda said: “We do not have any conclusive evidence at the moment as to who launched this missile”.

President Duda said it might have been a one-off incident and that there no indications that there will be a repeat.
