A 42-year-old Dutch man was arrested in connection with the importation and trafficking of nine kilos of cocaine and heroin, with a street value of around €1.5 million.
Following months of surveillance by drugs squad officers, the man was apprehended near Qormi where officers found the drugs.
A search of a garage in Sta Venera uncovered nearly €380,000 in cash.
