A soldier died whilst diving near St Paul’s Islands on Thursday.
Christian Degabriele, a 35-year-old from Għaxaq was reported missing on Thursday at around 5.30pm, whilst he was diving in the area between Buġibba and St Paul’s Islands.
A search involving an AFM helicopter, divers and a dinghy and members of the Civil Protection Department began on Thursday and resumed on Friday morning.
Authorities reported that a body was recovered at around 8.45am in the St Paul’s Islands area.
