€ 700,000 in modernization at the Ħal Far Day Center for the disabled

 The modernization work on the Sapport Agency’s Ħal Far Day Center is progressing well, with an investment of around € 700,000, for people with disabilities.

The works are divided into different phases, over a period of three to four years. This center offers various programs aimed at enabling people with disabilities to live more independent lives while improving their skills. 81 disabled people attending the same center, as well as other disabled people attending other centers, will benefit from this project.

The Minister for Inclusion, Volunteering and Consumer Rights Julia Farrugia Portelli, accompanied by the Chief Executive of Support Agency Oliver Scicluna, paid a visit to the place where she could follow the progress of the work she is doing. is done.

Maintenance and beautification work has already been carried out on the entire exterior of the center as well as on openings, bathrooms and the installation of new air conditioning units, among others. The ongoing work consists of beautifying and renovating four rooms that are used for various purposes, including delivering inclusive, therapeutic and educational programs to people with disabilities who attend the center.

A space dedicated to new and modern exercise equipment is being created that will be accessible to wheelchair users. Projected works include a multipurpose training pitch and the installation of a photovoltaic panel system.
